While visiting Santa Barbara I came across this fantastic list of herbal elixers in good combinations. Simply put about half a dropperfull from a tincture of the herb into a glass of apple juice. Some of these elixers are short-term remedies, some are just for fun for that day, some are useful long term. You may need to add Stevia as herbs can be bitter.

Keep in mind that these ARE drugs and so will require the liver to work hard. If you're still in the early stages of liver or candida management, you may want to wait until you've had 4 flushes and have taken something like Dr. Cabot's Livatone to get rid of any leftover compounds from Tylenol etc.

If you can't find all the ingredients for one particular elixer that's okay.

Adrenal Tonic: licorice root, siberian ginseng root, fresh devil's club root bark, sarsaparilla root, fresh ginger root (just put an inch of peeled root into a garlic press and squeeze into drink). Long-term.

Energy Tonic: American/Chinese/Siberian Ginseng, Ginkgo Leaf, Gotu Kola, Licorice, Fo-ti, Cayenne. Short, med or long term.

Headache/Hangover: Feverfew Herb, White Willow Bark, Meadowsweet Herb, Fresh Ginger Root, Fresh Pulsatilla Herb. Short term.

Immune Booster: Echinacea, Astralagus, Suma, Siberian Ginseng, Wild Indigo, Virginia Snakeroot. With Echinacea, short term (3 days). Without, long term.

Digest-Aid: Fresh Ginger root, Gentien root, Fennel seed, Blue Flag Root, Oregon Grape Root, Fresh or tinctured Marshmallow Root, Prickly Ash Bark, Peppermint Spirits. Use as needed.

Detox: Fresh Burdock Root (Japanese grocery store), Dandelion root, chaparral leaf, echinacea, augstiflia root, red clover blossoms, yellow dock, fresh red root. Since this detoxes the liver you can take it at the outset of liver management. Long term.

Brain Power: Ginkgo Biloba, Gotu Kola, Reishi Mushroom, Fo-Ti, Codonopsis, Ashwaganda. Short or long term.

Bach Rescue Remedy Elixer (take after a shock, injury, sudden onset of illness): Rock Rose, Star of Bethlehem, Impatiens, Cherry Plum, Clematis - Bach Flower Essences, not herbs. Short term.

Happier Days: Kava kava root; St. John's Wort; Damiana; Fresh Devil's Club Bark; Syrian Rue Root. Medium to long term - St. John's Wort takes awhile to take affect. Better than Paxil.

Relax!: Valerian, Passion Flower, Scullcap, hops, chamomile, catnip, lobelia. Short to medium term. Valerian should not be taken for more than a month.
