I followed the SCD diet for a year. It was hard for me because I couldn't even eat some of the foods that were "legal", like cheese and yogurt. I think it helped me, but after a year I just wasn't getting anywere - I couldn't add foods like I needed to. Then I started having a reaction to almonds - which was really bad........ I got desperate and tried the Liver cleanse. That was like the icing on the cake. I think the SCD diet helped me to heal ( I have Celiac Disease + leaky gut syndrome), but the liver cleanse was needed to clean out the rest. I can now eat corn and rice again. So I feel that the SCD diet was a good thing to do, I just didn't want to stay on it for the rest of my life.
