Hey there,

Ok, I've been doing some research and this is my theory on why my cyst grew (and at a faster rate than ever) during the 29 day fast:

After dropping over 100 liver stones , I realized that my health problems were deeper than I originally thought. My liver has been - and probably still is, to some degree - TOTALLY congested. I've been reading now that this is one of the principle causes of estrogen dominance, since a congested liver is incapable of breaking down the excess estrogen in our bodies. I've also been reading that the cyst I have (and the apparent endometrial hyperplasia that has shown up over that month) has to do with estrogen dominance...principally at least. Hyperplasia, by the way, is a thickening of the endometrial wall, and mine, two days before my period, was slightly beyond the normal thickness at that stage of the cycle.

SO: During the fast, my liver was cleansing, but wasn't yet cleansed enough to become a super cleaning machine. At the same time, I lost 25 pounds, most of which was fat where I presume some estrogen has been stored and was now released into my system. This prompted an abnormal growth spurt for Sally (my cyst...I named her Sally cyst).

What's interesting is that, with another 50 pounds of excess weight, this next fast could also release a ton of estrogen into my system. Hopefully my body can handle it...I'm kind of thinking that I should do a Liver Flush before starting the next fast, just so that I can get some more stones out and fortify my liver some more for it's new task. Hmmm...good idea! That's my goal for tomorrow.

Thanks for the suggestion on Potassium or zinc, Shelley...the cyst originated on my right side, and, energetically my right abdomen is very stagnant...so I think the potassium thing could be right on (potassium deficiency being a contributor to fatigue and stagnation, since it screws up the osmosis process of oxygenating the blood)...I'll check into whether the veggies I'll be drinking in the juice are potassium rich, but, at the very least, the new reduction of sodium (and coffee!) in my diet will rebalance the potassium/sodium mix in my system, thereby improving the potassium richness in my body by default. I heard that potassium deficiency is quite normal in the Standard American Diet, since there is WAY too much salt in our processed foods. Interesting connections!

So! What a neat argument for weight loss: the fat on my body can store unwanted estrogen, thereby aggravating my cyst issue. Now I've got a real health reason for cleansing my liver, my bod, AND losing this fat.

Do you think this is a reasonable deduction? I'm no expert, so feeback will be helpful.

Send me your thoughts, folks.
