Poles I know swear by a Vodka health tonic.
Take a small bottle of vodka, pour out a small amount and add cayenne pepper to fill the void (dont ask me exact proportions!!) Leave the bottle in the freezer overnight. It will have become a thick fiery liqueur. It's supposed to be a general cure all. Dont know about that but it is very good to drink. ;)
