Well, I have some experience arguing against doing liver management, at least, during menstruation. I have a problem with heavy/out of control bleeding - and I can tell you that taking Julia Chang's Chinese Bitters during my period nearly killed me. The blood flow got really fast and furious until I stopped taking it... and the same thing happens if I take triphala. So there is something to the downward Chi thing if you have heavy bleeding...

But I don't have any idea why an enema would be bad or dangerous... so I guess I'll try it out! Thanks.
