There's no way that you can make something raw if it is not. Either its enzymes are dead or alive. You can however add back live enzymes to non-raw foods as is the case with miso and technically it will become a live food but its still not raw because the original enzymes and lifeforce of the food are gone, leaving dead cooked remains. I havent really studied this but I'm pretty sure most organic raisins and dates are raw unless they contain other ingredients that are questionable. Lots of raw recipes contain them and I've never heard anyone say that they're not a raw food(I do faintly recall someone saying that they could be steamed though) so I think you can be pretty sure that they're okay to eat.
