The stats re: skin disorders was interesting, and the study of 200 children with asthma having a 80 incidence of achlorhydria was of particuliar intrest to me.
I believe strongly that HCL is an integral piece of the puzzle. The fact that the duodenum secretes a hormone as the acidic chyme is introduced, shows that higher PH could possibly inhibit this process.
This brings me to a part of my [still formulating] hypothesis. I believe that it is a genetic quality of some specific parasites\fungi to produce synthetic protaglandins which interfere with mutiple glandular functions that ultimately create a PH environment suitable to their survival. This may represent just a decimal point, a subtle difference. I also believe that it may start in the saliva glands, especially the submandibulars and parotids. Shroom
