Jake - I don't disagree. That's why for my boomer buddies I recommend digestive enzymes and probiotics.
Do some have thrush/cadidiasis? No doubt, yes. Are many more suffering from all manner of digestive problems? I believe so.
I think we ALL have to cut way back on the white menace, eat substantially more raw vegetables, and take some digestive enzymes and probiotics. I'd also like to see a helluva lot more MAGNESIUM and trace minerals taken - and some fiber if needed.
Here's a small tidbit ... when I had my gallbladder removed, I "seemed" to do just fine, no digestive problems. But I felt like crap. So I decided to try some bile salts to help emulsify the fat, so the fat enzyme (lipase) could actually break down the fats. In 2 weeks I felt absolutely like a new person. IOW - just improving my digestion of fats profoundly affected my health.
I'm guessing breaking down carbs and proteins better would help a lot of folks ... and getting BETTER mineral absorption (and unless you have decent stomach acid, no way you can get minerals to be absorbed properly).
