Wow! That kit is expensive. I hadn't heard of it, but doubt I will try it. I'm at the point now, where I can mostly tell what I need from my body.

Just a guess, but I would think that the chromium would be the main issue with the sleepiness. Perhaps, the copper did suppress the chromium. On acu-cell, it mentions how to correct a deficiency when both nutrients are low. It said to correct the lowest, but in this case, they both may be quite low. So you may need to just put more time between taking each mineral. I would say, try the chromium in the morning, and the copper before bed. That way, if the copper does make you sleepy, it won't matter, but more importantly, it will give the chromium some uninterrupted time to be absorbed by the body.

Copper has been pretty helpful to me. It does have an immediate effect on my face when it is low, and I supplement it. I also get a very red right eye when it is made low suddenly by a very acidic food or drink. This is usually resolved in a few hours after supplementing with copper. My right leg seems to have better circulation since I first began supplementing copper. However, I did take a vein therapy supplement for a few weeks, too, and I'm sure that had an effect. I will say that when my zinc and copper are balanced my face clears up much faster, and old and new scars fade quicker. I really believe that a balance between zinc/copper is key to clearing scars on the skin. The proper combination doesn't work immediately, but does have an effect over time. I have also been having much success with jojoba oil. I don't know why, but my skin has been looking very smooth since I began using it a week or so ago.

I would love to get tested, but not thru the mail, and as I mentioned before, I have limited confidence in hair analysis. I would like to take a challenge test for the different minerals, but the smell kit is incredibly overpriced. Fortunately, I feel that I am moving out of the chronic deficiency phase and beginning to find balance. There are areas that still need work, like my acute skin reactions when I go acidic, but I do believe that I have figured out the major players that have been affecting me. I am still healing intestinally, and know that that may take several more months with good diet practices. But, I am hoping to begin some self-weaning from some of the extra minerals I take, and rely more on my multi, with just a few extra minerals like my cal/mag, and occasionally zinc/copper. I am also, having major progress in getting the candida under control, and can tell the difference in my vision in my right eye. hurrah! I really feel that the strong foothold of the candida played a huge roll in my inability to correct my mineral balances. But now, I believe that healing is near.
