I couldn't agree with you more..of course there are always exceptions to the rule,but I think taking Hcl with pepsin with meals,especially one with meat,goes a long way..

I think this is one of the strongest arguments against vegetarianism and fruitarin.
We have hydrochloric acid to digest meat and an enzyme not many people know about elastase to help with really fibrous meat.

I feel if someone does well on no meat diets I sincerely think that is great. Some people do well on them. But i feel they lose this argument when they say we are not equipped to handle meat. We are very well equipped to eat meat.

And of course staying away from grains which we are not that well equipped to handle.
