Yes. I have been speculating about this for some time as well. But, there are fungal manifestations which can prevent very specific effector cells {t-cells} from doing the job of cleaning out endocellular contaminants. IgA is the anti-body agent that is responsible for mucus related tissues. I think it is found in the light chain at the n terminal region of the antibody.
