i'm a guy so i can't speak for vaginal yeast infections, but I can tell you that garlic and acidophilus seem to be very important for treating candida. remember that they are different treatments though. garlic kills candida. acidophilus does not as it is simply used to repopulate (i.e put good bacterium in place of where the dead yeast was) so that the yeast can't come back
