Shelled/cracked is fine. The trouble is that in America they poison your stuff by law so that it can't grow. I live in Canada where this isn't a problem. Perhaps there is a black market. ;-) Do your homework.

hemp is an amazing plant. Great for textiles and could also supply fuel although there are absoulte clean power options but the dinosaurs that rule the earth with an iron fist snuff out all attempts to get this tech to the consumer.
