Caprylic acid has no antibacterial properties. It will not harm the beneficial bateria, or any bacteria for that matter. I am in week three of treating my candidasis with time release caprylic acid. It is my intention that the caprylic acid will beat back the candida population to the point where the probiotics and successfully implant lactobacteria colonies on the intestine walls.
