salt in water raises your bp. I have found in researching that stressed out adrenals cause your body to excrete excess sodium. Sodium is an electrolyte necessary for heart rhythm, works with magnesium. Actually they all need eachother magnesium sodium, potassium and calcium. Also sodium intake will help adrenals greatly.
