yeah that is the best when you find something at the store already made for you with SAFE ingredients...all of the cooking and preparing becomes exhausting!

sorry i couldn't help on the cooked thing. i would assume cold is best. i think heating it up must destroy some of the live stuff but maybe i am wrong. some warm sauerkraut sure sounds good though!!!
