Thank you for your replies. I think that candida has got such a grip on me because for about two and a half years when I was suffering from chronic candidiasis I had absolutely no idea what was wrong with me. I had chronic constipation and very bad Depression and insomnia. The doctor always said I was depressed and I went through every anti-depressant. I never linked the constipation with the other problems simply because I have always suffered from constipation. It was only when I went through a period when the constipation got a bit better that I noticed that the other problems had eased as well.

Unfortunately, I think that because of this candida has really got a grip on me. Some of the candida pieces I've passe have been over a foot long. It's good to get rid of them but I can't help thinking - how many are left still inside? When I do take anti-fungals it just puts such a strain on my liver. It used to always make me constipated, possibly because of all the dead candida lying in the bowel. I've managed to overcome that problem using enemas which I think are great.

I'm currently trying to rectify any possible magnesium deficiency - by taking 3 different types of magnesium - mag chloride fumerate, magnesium citrate and magnesium malate. Hopefully at least one of them will be absorbed, but I know that it takes quite a while to rectify magnesium deficiency.

Another problem which I'm encoutering is financial. I feel so guilty about all the money I'm spending on supplements, particularly as I have four children and we could really used the money for other things. Also I live in the UK and lots of the supplements are only available in the States which makes them even more expensive (when postage is added).
