"just curious why i never had any problems until stopping Antibiotics ? i was on them for a year and half and the candida didn't hit me until about two weeks after stopping. there may have been a few signs here and there while on them but it hit me like a ton of bricks...any ideas?"

Antibiotics are like dropping an atomic bomb. It kills the good bacteria as well as the bad (candida). In a healthy person the good bacteria outnumbers the bad heavily, but after they are both wiped out, the bad can take over because of many reasons. Diet, acid PH, etc. This is why probiotics, yogurt etc. are recommended while taking Antibiotics to replenish the good bacteria lost.
