I don't knopw about candida being caused by mineral deficiencies, but I would put my own money dwon on the fact that candida causes malabsorbtion that causes mineral deficiencies. I am living it right now. Once one becomes mineral deificient, we are in a yet further weakened state and it snowballs from there. I would definately try the product. There is definately something to be said about alkanizing( sp) the bowel. I have been reading lots about the ph, but I am a little bit confuse about how it works to rid the body of candida. I do know a healthy body is more alkaline, so anyhting good for the body = bad for candida. Michelle
