But make sure it is a good one. Here is my story.
I suffered from allergies and chronic sinusitis for years. I had been on many courses of Antibiotics . I had a white tongue for years, I was told I had a "geographic" tongue, which I now know isn't the case. My health majorly declined in my mid 20's. I was severely allergic to everything, brain fog, sleeping all the time, no energy. I attributed it all to "allergies" I had sinus surgery, and it helped my allergy symptoms tremendously, but I was still tired and worn out, and not functioning. Except now I was more frustrated, because the thing I blamed my symtpoms on, was no longer an issue. But then I discovered Candida, and felt I was a classic case. I went on the diet, anti-fungal herbs, probiotics etc.. It helped a little, but not very much. And then I moved, and had to find a new dentist.
My new dentist examined me and told me I had 4 cavities and 4 fillings that were falling apart. He showed me 2 of the cavities on my front lower teeth, and I was flabbergasted. "But my old dentist said that those were receding gums exposing the tooth below!" Nope, it's tooth decay. "But I've had this for 5 years!"
I couldn't believe it, yet now it all made sense. Why the diet didn't touch my white tongue. My body was trying to fight the bacteria in my mouth. Why I had been feeling progessively worse for the past 5 years. I had a major body burden in my mouth.
After all the cavities were filled and the fillings replaced, (with resin fillings) the white tongue disappeared. It's been 6 months and it is still gone. Every day, I feel I have more energy than the day before.
In my research, I learned that fungi and bacteria are antagonistic. I believe Candida was my body's desperate attempt to fight the bacteria in my mouth. Once the bacteria was eliminated, the Candida disappeared. At this point, I am uncertain whether I had full body Candidiasis or not. But I'm not taking chances, and continue taking probiotics, and eating less suger.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my story because I know there are probably many people like me, who the diet doesn't seem to work for, despite having so many symptoms of Candida.
