I have autoimmune thyroid disease (Graves). It runs in my family on both sides and for me it was triggered whenever I was under alot of stress. I had my thyroid ablated 2 years ago with Radioactive Iodine so now I take hormone replacement and my tests have been normal for almost 2 years now. I have to take the thyroid replacement for the rest of my life. I have never colored or permed my hair and I just use Tresseme or Dove shampoo and conditioner.
