you can get essential fatty acids from many herbs,
including sawgrass.

Flaxseed oil (flaxseed oil has the highest linolenic content of any food),(needs to be refridgerated and supplied refridgerated)

flaxseeds,
flaxseed meal,
hempseed oil,
hempseeds,
walnuts,
pumpkin seeds,
Brazil nuts,
sesame seeds,
avocados,
some dark leafy green vegetables
(kale, spinach, purslane, mustard greens, collards, etc.)

because of the high levels of mercury and dioxin in fish,
and other sources being of a animal or dairy nature
I would suggest you consider these sources first.
