This happpened to me also. In fact, it got so bad that I would wake up choking and wheezing in the middle of the night with white foamy stuff spewing from my lungs. The lungs are one means your body has as an escape route for toxins when they are being expelled. The bowels are the main one, but also skin, lungs, urine. You may be going through an especially big detox right now.
