Is it possible for probiotics to cause die off? Basically what is happening is about 3 months ago my diet took a major dive. I totally binged on Sugar and fast food. I also ran out of probiotics (I was taking 2 PB8 a day). To make a long story short, I got back on track 3 weeks ago and have been a mess ever since. I started the PB8 again and I got tons of die-off symptoms (really bad anxiety, panic, depression, white tongue, but stopped bieng constipated). I went to the doc. and got a script for Diflucan and have been taking that for the past 2 weeks (I had to cut the tabs up and take only 1/4 to 1/3 a day due to the heave die off). I decided to try the PB8 aagain today (about 1/3 tab) and I seem to feel worse again. Should I just stay off the probiotic for the time? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
