Dear transformationalhealth:

No offense intended. It's just that you did not address me at all, but you seemed to be taking a poll. Since I did start this thread, and it is published in a newsletter so as to get this message out to many people, this subject is dear to my heart. As far as I know, no one else has posted on this site, or anywhere else that I know of, about having been cured by xylitol. I'm sure it has happened, but I haven't found anything. Believe me, I have been quizzing people (politely of course), and reading as many posts as possible. I think that people who have used xylitol in conjunction with other methods seem to have gotten better faster than they would have otherwise, my opinion, of course. I noticed a dramatic change when I first used it, and I feel obligated to post all drawbacks, since this is an unorthodox approach. I would certainly love for someone else to be cured with xylitol, as I see so many suffering. Believe me, I have tried to spread my word about it. I think a lot of people are nervous, because of the word "sugar", which I was too. But then, I'm a rebel, so I just held my breath and plunged in.
Yes, I am still cured, and feel better than ever. And, I use xylitol as my sweetener of choice, a little less than before, with less probiotics and still bowel cleansing. I have dropped the psyllium, as I developed an allergic reaction, and now use 1/2 teaspoon wheat bran with the bentonite. I have tested myself with small amounts of Sugar and fructose, and no problems. I eat fruit daily now, which tastes soooo good! (after almost a year of none)

If you are interested, I wrote a post to the Ask Shelley forum last week about Threelac. She gives detailed answers about her opinions of it. I have never used it, but was concerned about a friend who was thinking of trying it.

And I come from an editorial family; my father was a newspaper editor, and I studied one journalism class, so I'm with you on detailed editorial posts!

Good luck, and please let me know of your progress.

Take care,
Julie
