Ah, sorry for that.
I had the same symptoms like you.
Herpes alternately with candida.
Lately I don't know which symptoms is due to which disease.
Even up to now, I am not so sure.
Sometime, my symptoms relieved with anti-candida, sometime with anti viral.

But lately, I found out I had vaginitis without any ulcer around there, so I decided it was candida so I was admitted to hospital and treated with Amphotericin-B injection.
At about 3rd day of injection, vaginitis was more severe, I was looking for the ulcer again, no ulcer.
My vulva was very much swell, than after about 1 week, (at that time no more injection), I found out very samll ulcers in between skinfolds.
So I took antiviral orally as well as cream.
After about one week, no more swelling.
Than after one month, I had another attack, but no more candida.

As you said I had continuous itchiness and vaginitis for about 3 years. I was not sure it was candida or virus.
I think candida must grow in order to cover virus growth.

Anyway, it is not very difficult and cost very much to test Viral serology for herpes, you should do both for herpes type 1 and type 2. It is very easy if you go to the sexually transmitted disease control center or privately to the lab or to the doctor.

If serology test is negaitive, you must test for HIV as well as Diabetes.

Sometime HIV become positive after about 3 years, and Diabetes become fine out after Glucose taularant test, that means check blood glucose after taking Glucose 75Gm.
( you can ask me if anything you want to know about my symptoms,in this web site or to my e-mail)

Good Luck,
Emrald
