How very cool! You helped me learn something new, thank you very much! That's one of the main reasons I keep this forum. :)
Not a single one of my nutrition books ever pointed out that psyllium was not completely fermented. I just did a Google and sure enough, psyllium is the one water soluble fiber that is not completely fermented. Whether that's a big deal to healing I doubt, giving the microbes something to do is often a good thing and ends up creating more fecal matter with which to exercise the colon. So i guess that's why psyllium is rather lighter in the bowl than when we first put it in a glass of water. :)
