thanks to Briseis_of.Troy I started researching salt -- its truly amazing how something so simple can be so profound.

i'd urge all of you to look into this, i think it could make a big difference in your overall health, and detoxing.

the best i've found is himalayan salt - apparently it is much better then even crystalized sea salt because there are no pollution issues, the crystal structure is different then sea salt, and it has the best balance of trace minerals . the best combination of price and value i've found so far is Krystal Salt which is made by the same company who does klamath blue green algae.

this site

has a free book you can read and/or download that goes into a lot of detail, with pictures, etc

you can also download a video,
i'll watch it, but in my first scan - its this really cheesy infomercial format. oh well - but the guy they are interviewing wrote the book so its probably got good info.

i just ordered from them today, they have a pretty good special going where you can buy 3 items for the price of 2. if you google 'krystal salt' there are many other websites selling it. i also found testimonials of people using it for healing many different conditions.

the 'brine' or 'sole' that people take like medicine, is very simple to make and its why people get the big crystals or rocks. you just get the crystal salt rocks, put some in a glass (not plastic) jar with water, and after letting it sit for a day, you take up to a teaspon of the brine, with a glass of water, in the morning. apparently the detox effects are very strong, so some people start with with less and work up to a teaspoon. the book also says that once you have used half of the brine, that you should throw the rest away and start again - details on why in the book (page 37). (of course you can also use the brine for cooking)
