so how can you be sure about anything in the bible Judy?
See, I believe something totally different. I believe the bible is the 100% inerrant word of God. I believe every single word. Because if I didn't it would show weakness and a God that isn't so powerful afterall. Did His plan fail? Did He mean to get truth out to us and a bunch of junk got mixed in? But how do you know which is junk? Which is truth? Do you use your "feelings" and "wisdom".
Just because similar stories were written doesn't mean the bible is a fraud. It means people in other parts heard things, or experienced them. I've heard about this too.
