Why can't there be a middle ground? Just because a person believes in a higher power doesn't mean they therefore must believe the bible. I mean...come on. Why couldn't evolution have been part of God's plan? A person who believes in evolution is not always an atheist. In fact, I would bet there are many people who would situate themselves in this forbidden middle ground.
