Well Gaylen, it seems to me that you're trying to meld Creationism and evolution, but that can only go so far the way I see it. For instance, evolutionists believe that the world evolved by chance for no apparant reason. They also believe there is no God and that everything around us is just a random accident. They believe in micros evolution AND macroevolution. They believe humans are no different/no better than a flea flying around a dog's tail or algae growing on a rock. They don't believe we have a soul. They don't believe that good or evil exists.

I'm trying to understand how you can be a Christian, yet believed we evolved as a species....(or maybe I'm misunderstanding your stance) The way I see it, either we evolved from a monkey or we didn't. If we evolved from a monkey (which I will never believe) then there was no Adam and Eve, which basically means the Bible starts out with a lie. And if there were no Adam and Eve (and no original sin/no right and wrong) then what was Jesus' purpose?

Personally I believe everything the Bible says. If I were to question ANYTHING it would be some people's interpretation that the world began 6000 years ago. Although I see some good arguements for a young earth, I also see some good arguements for an old one. In the grand scheme, though, I don't think it really makes alot of difference exactly WHEN the world was created. But like I've said before, nothing would surprise me at this point. If God can create human DNA as complex and incredible as it is, then anything is possible....even creating the world in 6 days 6000-7000 years ago.
