YES! His pain and suffering could be the result of another persons sin (dare I use that word) wether it is due to the greedy drug companys, a toxin that man created, or greedy food companies pushing foods that don't give a pregnant mother enough nutrition for a healthy baby. It is SIN (greed) we all sin, we can do as we please or ask God what do we need to do to. That we have that choice is free will.

So is "cause and effect", one man sins (uses his free will) "here take this toxin that is going to hide your ill symptoms" and another man pays for it, downs syndrome, illness, etc.

But what if God gave us something that could counter-act/anti-dote the effects of that sin???? Or even more use that sin to creat goodness?

What is that man with downs could find strenghth to fight the bad side of downs? What if he turned to God and said "God I have no idea how to get well. I have no idea how to be happy with what I have. Show me what you want me to do". What if God then (And I am totally 'what if'ing' here. I don't presume to know the will of God) God then shows him what to do.

God gives us a way to be free from our sins and the sins of others............
