Widely used heartburn and ulcer drugs such as Nexium, Pepcid and Prilosec can make people more susceptible to pneumonia, probably because they reduce germ-killing stomach acid.

Chris, you are very good at getting off topic.

And confusion - you nearly got me when you changed "low acid" to "low Ph" - can't we stick to one or the other, because it is tricky.

Sure, low acid IS low Ph, but for non-scientists we like to keep things straight by sticking with the original way it was presented. Lots of people besides me have gotten confused about this.

If I had made a mistake there, you would have used that to say I am too stupid to be expressing an opinion. I have seen that used before too.

Its a lot like "Creating a Problem and then offering a solution."

Back to topic - I am right about anti-biotics being the primary prescursor to getting a bad bout of C-Diff. That is precisely what the hospitals are saying, thats where I got the info from.
