Waco got nary a drop of rain- just some cloud cover! Rita hit landfall as a cat 2 and was still a cat 1 over Lufkin in southeast Texas this AM. the storm has stalled and is dumping rain on the Texas-Louisiana border. Please be in prayer for folks in LA, as they got the dirty side of the storm and didn't need another hit at all.

We're getting news from Houston almost exclusively since so many evacuees are here. They want to go home but Gov. Perry told everyone to stay put today. They are working out a plan to stagger the homecoming so we don't get the mess we had on the way out.

Down on the coast, Galveston got a little damage but not much. The damage was most severe in the oil towns of Port Arthur, Beaumont, Orange, and Lake Charles in LA. We're not getting any news from LA other than NO, which got more flooding.

In Houston, the reports are that tree limbs are blocking roads, power is out in most of the city, there is some flooding in low areas, and minor property damage. The main issue is for there to be enough gas and food for everyone when they come home. They are supposed to close the schools on Monday so people won't have to hurry back.

Blessings to all, and thank you again for your prayers. God is so good.
