No I didn't say that the bible is human agenda. Actually my college learning cemented my belief in the bible and it historical correctness. Many of the old testamnet miricles have been looked into and, through scientific investigation, been found to be possible only because of a miricle! One such is the story of the 3 men in the furnace that didn't burn. Finding the cold spot that those furnaces have would have been impossible, they should have perished!

I'm not sure where I stand on the issue of final authority. I know I don't believe it is in the hands of non perfect humans! So much for my being a good catholic huh! :D I do know that the words of the bible are relevent to today's life. I also believe that those words were inspired by God and were not meant for just one generation. Since I don't completely understand the bible I can't say that I believe that it is an absolute authority. All I can say is that that is what makes the most sense. But then I tend to go by what I get spiritually, and by that measure I get that the bible can and does say alot for our lives today. (does that make sense?)
