Like anything that the doctor prescribes to me I always take a half dose because I don't trust most of the stuff out there. So I did a half dose of effexor and it was the worst stuff I have ever had in my life. I imagine it to a bad acid trip even though I never was had one. I was paranoid for 24 hrs straight and it did a number on my nervous system - giving me the severe shakes. I didn't want to be touched and I couldn't sit still, my eyes would dart all over the place. Because of that drug I will never take another anti-depressant again.

In the past I tried Zoloft for a day - which made me into a zombie. I also tried Xanax. If I would take the dose the doctor prescribed I think I'd be in a coma. I told that to my doctor and he just laughed. That stuff just knocks me out. My boyfriend - who doesn't suffer from anxiety/ Depression - just takes them so he won't feel any pain when his back hurts - it knocks him out also.

The only thing that helps me to relax so far is olive leaf extract. But everyone is different so I can't say don't take the drugs. I just believe that it is a crapshoot to take them - you'll never know what may happen.
