Try meditation. If you can stop your mind from racing for 10 seconds, then you go for 20 etc. I have found that for me, it seems like my mind is a muscle that can be strengthened through regular exercise. Think nothing of it. Literally. You have convinced yourself that you can't control your own brain. I enjoy studying Buddhism and like the idea of oneness vs. duality. Duality menas that you are living as if there are two of you. You, in this case, and your brain. Get it together, literally.
Remember that love is very powerful and will make everything ok. You are in control of yourself. Relax.
