I feel for you...we've had a few in our home over the years...and it's a terrifying thing to have happen. All I
can tell you is that ammonia around the doors and any openings
does NOT work....neither does moth balls. The last one we
had... crawled over 2 moth balls as it was getting away. :-/
We've heard there are professional snake repellants, but don't
know anything about them.
Our home is in the country, part of our property is a wooded
area...but we keep it all as neat as a pin, we've even been in
home tours. So it has nothing to do with keeping it all clean
around it...although I'm sure that helps some...But our place
is immaculate, very warm and cozy...and we still have snakes.
How long have you lived in this home? Is it in a wooded area?
Try calling the Farm Bureau and maybe the biology teacher at
your local high school. Most sheriff departments know of people
who will come and get a snake out of your home...maybe they
would come and "check out" your whole house and try to find
where they are getting in.
Good luck, and keep us posted.....kathryn
