Well of course, I could write a story that takes place in the 40s where Aliens come to earth and form an alliance with hitler and they attempt to rule the world... Even though the world would be realistically depicted, and Hitler was a real person, it doesn't mean that the story REALLY took place, because it contains a FEW real elements right? It's the same thing for the bible... Jesus can very well have lived without being the son of god with all those powers.

If I remember correctly that wasn't done before around the year 300 when Constantine was in power.
