I think the idea is that muscle testing IS using the body's inherent subconscious wisdom which knows the ultimate truth about what it needs (when you know what is being tested, and trying to be as objective as possible, though that is difficult!). Though some kinesiologists do test 'blind', so the client can't see what's being tested (based on the 'energy' of the substance...I have had this done).

I tend to make decisions based on curiosity, impulsivity and desperation, probably more than logic!! (finances permitting of course!) Kinesiology has been fairly well-established in Nottingham for years. I first tried it about 8 years ago when it was suggested by a naturopath who seemed to have a lot of knowledge of 'alternative' and more intuitive approaches to health (and who had herself been quite ill for years with mercury poisoning). I think you're right, in that you do give your power away to a certain extent but when you're ill and vulnerable you put your trust into other people's hands as you so much want to believe they will help you get better. I suppose I'm fairly open-minded and just trusted that it would.

Like I said in my other message I have doubts now, though I have had some very good kinesiology sessions when my arm just seemed to have a mind of its own eg one session took place in the practitioner's garden on an extremely hot day. Having C.F.S. I was feeling pretty exhausted and the heat made it worse. She tested me for about 3 HOURS!! My arm at times showed the most amazing strength and at other times, showed utter weakness and this had nothing to do with the timing (ie wasn't weaker near the end of the session), and also correlated with what I thought anyway ie very weak for Sugar (NB, I couldn't see what she was tested me for, I would close my eyes when she put the nodules(?) in my lap). Anyway, it was quite a session!

I really haven't come to any conclusion about kinesiology, I don't feel I know or understand it enough to accept or dismiss it.

Hopefully, your body would say not to the poison so your conscious mind wouldn't have to reject it!!

Anne
