Most credit card companies will negotiate your APR to a lower % rate. Just call and tell them there are lower rates from other companies and you would rather keep your money on your current card. I've never had them turn me down to get the lowest APR possible. The credit card industry is very competitive so they will do nearly anything to keep you as a customer. I've also got them to drop annual fees.
