i guess i came down a bit hard... even though it didn't seem so to me at the time... but i guess from all the uproar it created i can only assume that my comments did not meet with popular opinion... but then again i'm not here to try to please anyone... hopefully i can share my experience strength and hope with you and others and be of some help to you in some way...
i think anything that you can use in early recovery to alleviate the withdrawal symptoms is a bonus... but to think that a drug or herb will cure you of your alcoholism is terribly misleading... especially in the light of what created your dependancy on drugs or alcohol to begin with... and this is where i can't help but praise the program/steps of AA for the remarkable achievements it allows one to make in personal discovery... growth... and recovery...
when i first quit drinking i was told to use the phone list and call my sponsor or anyone in the program whenever i had a desire to drink... and when i did as instructed it was remarkable how the desire would leave me... and you are saying that kudzu does the same thing for you... which i guess is perfectly ok as long as you are satisfied and feel that it is working for you... but somehow i also feel that you are somehow cheating yourself if you rely souly on "Kudzu"... i think maybe the better solution would be to use both the fellowship and the herb...
anyhow... sorry that we seemed to start off on the wrong foot... and hope we can become very close life long friends in our quest for the best life has to offer...
it truly is a wonderful day in the neighborhood...
lol...
