Thank you so much for sharing, it sounds as though Kudzu may be something to try.
I have tried all different permutations of plans to stop drinking, and so far none has succeeded. It seems I always end up returning to having that "after work drink" or "a few drinks with some friends" or "I am truly stressed drink" and then of course, will have more after that "one".
No, I don't drink during work, and no, not during the day, so maybe I am an "evening warrior" who knows? I do know that my alcohol consumption has deeply affected my life, and my time on this earth, missed many great beautiful moments and embarrased myself and my family. It is a daily goal to get to the point where alcohol is not in my life...
I try to do the best for my body, but know that until alcohol is out of my life, Whatever I do may not be enough. AA never seemed to be what is right for me... (personal reasons)
So thank you for posting, I will give Kudzu a try, and heck, why not? Maybe we do need a Kudzu forum! By the way, I was always told at home and at school: "If you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all." There are some people that just participate because they just want to be right (whether they are or not) Sometimes "silence is golden".
As for your post itself, it is clear and well written. Thank you again for taking the time to share.
