Normally, I am highly critical of any tool bar(s) that claim to protect you from Spyware/Adware. Based on my personal experience and testing, I have discovered that such toolbars often conceal Spyware and Adware and once you fall for that smoke screen, you get infected by the very toolbar you trusted to protect you. In this case, we are talking about tool bars that are themselves really vehicles of spyware and adware infection.

Having said that, I have tested the New Yahoo ToolBar with a Integrated Anti-Spyware scanner. I have throughly run many tests against it to see if it is laced with Spyware or Adware or if it is designed to spread spyware or adware, I have found no evidence of this. This tool bar appears to offer a extra layer of protection against spyware/adware Here is a description of the Yahoo Anti-Spyware Tool Bar from //download.com. For what it's worth it received a 5 star rating(highest) from //download.com
