the sad thing is that there are so many sites out there that take advantage of those of us among the internet community who don't know where else to turn. IMHO any spware sweeper that you pay for is a scam. antivirus's are different.. but with the free avg out now there i din't see any reason to pay for internet defenses.

BTW not only am i sure, but i 'know' these will help. :o) these programs are the most reputable among the online community. :o) the problem you described can probably be taken care of with only the first two programs i linked you to, but i gave you the avg antivirus link just in case you don't have a good free antivirus ;) it's all i use!
