No-one else in my family has been formally diagnosed with GD. However, for most people it is inconsequential and does not lead to jaundice. Many sufferers don't even know they've got it because it only causes ongoing health problems in a small proportion.
Remember, the liver has a wonderful ability to regenerate itself given the right care!
