I did read the posting rules (the version at the time of this post); I did not link to "Quackwatch," I merely listed the URL.
Also, in the rules it's stated that "links [to quackwatch and similar websites] will be removed unless posted in special forums for discussion on quackery and other subjects like: Medical Ethics and Medical Politics." I interpreted that to mean I could post it here if a discussion was centred around it.
Onto the debate:
My first point will be that in all studies done, people with AIDS were also infected with HIV. Also, the health of people who contracted HIV has been kept track of, to show that AIDS symptoms result from HIV infection.
References: this is a very small sample of papers on the subject of HIV being related to AIDS. I've included some that predate the "naming" of AIDS, but show HIV to be responsible nonetheless.
