Yes! Plus it is cheap. You can get a pound in sam's club. Just start small - 1/16th of a teaspon in a little warmed distilled water.

2 should not. 1 possibly could - that is why I would hold off a bit before trying 1.

They should not. IF they do - you need to gauge the situation day to day, hour to hour.

a) He will be taking in 5000 calories a day - probably way more than he is now so yes, he might.

b) He has a better chance of absorbing in the form of juice.
