Since my husband and I have finished a 3 week bowel/ parasite cleanse, been juicing (much carrot, apple, beet, ginger, various greens), increased our water consumption, changed to celtic Sea Salt , cut meat and most dairy out of our diet, and get out in the sun everyday without sunscreen (not excessively)we have both seen a remarkable improvement in our skin. Our pores have almost disappeared! We haven't even started all the other cleanses!
One great thing we started using recently is Bentonite clay. It is very inexpensive, you mix it with equal part apple cider vinager, and apply it to face or anywhere you like. It sucks the dirt right out of your poresj(no more squeezing and damaging skin)! I was amazed. Bentonite clay is also used in Bowel Cleanses as it attracts toxins as it moves through you. It does exactly that on the skin as well. Forget all the silly facial masks they sell you in the stores. They have so much junk in them they never do anything...and are really quite bad for your skin. You get about 20 to 30 masks out of a jar that costs about 7 dollars...can't beat that.
Sweating through exercise and saunas is a wonderful way to clear your pores as well. Please don't dismiss the importance of a change in diet as well as the benefits from cleansing. Lots of great info on this site to help you get started. Great skin comes from within, but we sure are happy with the clay (you should be able to get it at any health store).
I'm sure others will have good advice as well. We started all of this for other more serious problems, but are thrilled at the effects it has had on our skin...it was not expected...and certainly not in so short a time!
Also, vinager is a good tonic and skin softener if you don't mind the smell.
