This may be a gross subject and I don't know if it applies: I had this exact issue with my insides swollen. In my case it is a hemorroid that is prolapsed, that's how I know. (look up prolapsed hemorroid if you need to - mayoclinic.com is a good place) I've had it a long time, and whenever I've had too much action or straining down there, it would come out, but not enough to be painful and it will unswell. That's why I stopped my fast after a few weeks. I was planning longer but I know I need to give my backside a rest. This is just a personal issue but it doesn't just apply to me, I know. (My sister had a bad one and needed surgery after pushing to give birth...)

Anyway, fun facts, I know, but maybe it helps.
